I know you have heard it said many times, boy it's good to be home and that
is how I felt last night after landing in Richmond from attending the
Making Change Special Seminar in Las Vegas.
Moose International presented nineteen (19) proposed
amendments to the 2012 General Laws. We also had a chance to express our own
amendments that we would like to see to the General Laws. Nothing was
written in stone but the staff did take notes of what was said.
Membership was a big topic in the Seminar. Our
membership in the fraternity has been in a decline since 1980 and has
continued today. Brother we all need to work harder on selling the Moose.
Tell prospective members of all the good we do for the community in the form
of donations and our Child City (Mooseheart) and Moosehaven. If each one of
our members would sign just one new or former member, we would have 1174
members here at our lodge compared to 587 as we have to date.
